For the past few days, AI Director Country Visit! Ryan in HK!!

This was a good week for me, cos I'm just acting as an PA to Director, scheduling meetings for my boss, having short briefing to him about that's happening next on the way to the meeting, and having my boss to motivate and meet with 2 LCs' new members, all LCs' EB members, MC members, SG members and partners.

That's why I got to hear Ryan repeating his stories for why and the process he ran for AI for six times, his future ambition with rugby and emerging market for four times, successful projects = (X, members, $) for six times, changing our LC structure for 3 times, and his open intention for running for PAI for two times!!! (yeah! Hong Kong is the place where he first openly say that he's going to run for PAI!!! haha - actually the LCEBs of HKUST, CUHK and PolyU are those who heard about that the first ^^ cos Stanley asked a very smart question of what is Ryan going to do in next year... smart Stanley!! YEAH!!!)

Ha hope all the members who met with Ryan enjoyed it. I did enjoy it, except that as a PA I was fired for 10 times and then rehired for 10 times during the week. What an unstable boss.

MC office is an incredible place!! Every time I come here, well almost - I hear good news ;)

Partnerships, agreements, MC members meeting cool people doing very similar things to aiesec, people who are as inspired and determined as us…Trainees are coming…News from LCs, feedbacks and opinions on our work…People from EBs applying for a double term and going for leadership positions, people making decisions, people changing their minds..You can see mind shift happening in real time!!

Every time something good, or even if we have challenges, it just reminds us that it is not an easy way. But we can make it! Cause we are Making Things Real :)

These times my work is getting very special, cause all People Team of @HK is getting so excited about recruitment, they put so much energy into all of it, into work and fun, into changing things before engaging newies, into creating better experiences :) I am so proud of you, guys!!!! And I do my best to support you - we'll make it, I am sure. Just seeing you happy and excited, makes me so happy as well!

So inspired and motivated ;))

@HK kicks ass ;))

Alright, in making sure that Mindy will not be entitled the ONLY CONTRIBUTOR to the MC Blog, I am going to break this!

Time really flies, i can't believe I have actually started the term with my lovely teammates for TWO months! [Okay, Let me bombard this BLog with pics! ]

-------Mindy-----------SoSo-----------Martha-----------Nadya----------Alvin-------

and our Managers [ Hey managers, can you stand that you pics are not here? upload it. ha] [ suddenly "can't stand" becomes a TREND, eh? ]

EVeryDay, these FOUR pretty girls work together in our OFFICE. Yes. We are working everyday in this nice office with the sea view =)))) and our only GUY who visited us occasionally~

We have Meetings there, we got our most of our MEALs there. We had this cool chat the day before about "WHY CHinese ppl don't like to get deep in a conversation when u r talking to someone you just met" which end up with discussion about how Marriage is like in "Ancient" China & "Ancient" Ukraine traditionally. Diversity, huh?

These few days, feeling reli cool. Receiving so many blessing & excitments from my past teammates, response from the rest part of the world excites me a lot after the whole launch of this I.S. thingy here in Hong Kong.

Haha. I love the way that we display what we have been working reli hard for to the rest of the network. I love it becoz' we are really Making Things Real day by day.

Our LCs! They are just so awesome. Yes indeed very different from two years back then, as mindy mentioned, when i first became LCEB in my LC. I am very glad to witness and be a part of this change in @HK. YEAh I m PROUD OF YOU!

I am so glad to be here oh. Can't wait till our NLDS to see how it's like for our new AIESEC generation!

Can't Stand Spirit

We often talk about "Can Do Spirit". But here in MC of @HK, a "Can't Stand Spirit" is actually more powerful. It's proudly initiated and invented by our lovely So So.
We've received lots of encouragements concerning our community and newsletter. We are excited about it, everybody is excited about it. Why? Because, one day, So So said "Finally, i can't stand that HK community is not updated" in the email. Therefore, there comes a series of renewing in the community (functional area corners, scoreboard updates, LC updates, la la la), a newsletter generator, newsletter out, more newsletters out, and even more newsletters out.

The whole @HK is suddenly bombed by this prettily renewed community and lots and lots of stuffs newsletters. Why? Because So So "Can't Stand" it. As from my understanding of So So, everytime when So So "can't stand" sth, we'll be bombarded with a powerful campaign. I remember I have told her that I really like her "can't stand". (but, with the exception of "can't stand" the temperature)

Conclusion: "Can Do" Spirit is good. But a bit out-dated. Here and now in @HK, "Can't Stand" Spirit is omnipotent. So So, I'm proud of you. We definitely want more, more, and more of your "Can't Stand" (except temperature).

Yes let's get this blog started!!

Random sharing... and reminiscence...

Just want to share with you that when we we were brainstorming the theme of the conference just now in the meeting, I thought about the same thing we did last year, but that was so much different. At that time we're facilitated by Yvonne (PeoplePlus). She was by far the best facilitator and coach I've ever seen, and I'm sure MC 0506 would agree with me that her session was definitely a remarkable event in last year. Anyway, the importance is that, after many many many extremely fun and inspiring activities, we thought that the thing that we want to build up in the conference is "trust". Yes, it's "trust", big difference from what we talked about tonight yea?! That was probably one of the darkest age I've ever had in MC, with so much argument, distrust, conflicts, fights and negative feelings between MC and LCs, which made us want to do nothing but national unity in conference.

Things have changed and there's nothing that we could grumble about so far in our state. Definitely we have challenges, obstacles, unbelivable logistical difficulties today, but, we're going to overcome them. Moreover, having experienced WNCF 2005, in contrast to NLDS 2005, the lesson to me is that if we put heart and soul into a conference, we could create THE IMPACT that we desire of.

OK. Enough bla bla. My final question in my head is how many National Conference I have held in @HK... I don't want to count...
